Project for robotics education was awarded with the "Innovationspreis Niedersachsen"

The "roboterfabrik" at the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) is a project funded by the Region Hannovern and is operated by the Institute of Autotmatic Control and the Institute of Mechatronic Systems in close cooperation with the Roberta RegioZentrum Hannover. The roboterfabrik is significantly involved in the state-wide educational project "Robonatives Initiative". Now the project of the Robokind Foundation in cooperation with LUH, the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Region Hannover has won the Innovation Award Lower Saxony 2021 in the category "Cooperation".

The educational initiative develops advanced training courses and training offers for specialists, teachers and multipliers. The project has set itself the goal of anchoring the topics of robotics and artificial intelligence as part of the body of knowledge and experience already in schools and training. The holistic concept offers target group specific and certified training courses, the transfer of specialist knowledge and support from a cross-industry network in close cooperation with regional partners. The jury was impressed by the innovative potential of the concept. Lower Saxony''s Minister of Economics, Dr. Bernd Althusmann, and Lower Saxony''s Minister of Science, Björn Thümler, honored the "Robonatives Initiative" and two other award-winning projects with the prize on September 7.
